About Chris Finlez

My vision was blurry. Confused, comfortable, and in pain. I had just undergone hip surgery at what felt like a very old 21 years of age. At the time, I was a college soccer player, the epitome of fast miles, explosive movements, and strength. But on this day, and for weeks to come, I needed pain pills just to get out of bed.

Experiences like these, growing up as an athlete, shaped the way I approach fitness today. Yes, I want to look and feel strong. I’m sure you do too. You don’t need me to tell you that proper muscle and joint function is the gateway to this oh-so-distant reality.

As I returned to fitness, I immersed myself in studying body mechanics, testing every trend I could find in an effort to avoid chronic aches and pains. Everything from yoga to weightlifting, every device, gadget, and philosophy, along with more physical therapists than I care to count. Over time, I discovered what truly improved my body and became an athlete once again. This time with a new perspective.

Now, in my late twenties, I’ve completed multiple half marathons, marathons, a recent Ironman, and, most importantly, built a healthy relationship with my body and what I believe it can achieve.

Lifestyles change. I’m sure you compare yourself to the person you once were before being cemented to your seat and married to your MacBook. But that doesn’t mean you’re stuck.

I want you to feel good about your future, about what you can achieve, and about how your body can help take you there, whether that means gaining confidence through building muscle, playing sports again, fixing your posture so you can stand tall, or even having the mobility to pick up your child from the floor with ease. You deserve it all.
